NAMING CEREMONIES

You’ve had a baby – Congratulations!

A baby naming ceremony or a welcome ceremony is a lovely way to celebrate a new addition to the family.  I love marking these special moments in family life and would really enjoy helping you create some lovely memories together.

Many families choose a naming ceremony as an alternative to a traditional Christening, although as an independent celebrant, I can happily include any faith elements or rituals if you would like.

I love babies and children and my teaching background means I am really up for getting everyone involved in a ceremony if you (and they) would like.

As parents, you may choose to make commitments to your child or children as part of a ceremony.  You may like to include godparents, ‘guide parents’ or ‘supporting adults’, who can make some promises too. I can help turn all these words into something meaningful that is just right for your family.

You might like to include a symbolic gesture or ritual, which can make a brilliantly memorable addition to a family ceremony – including footprint making, lighting a ‘unity’ candle or a sand ceremony.

You can hold a baby naming at home, in your garden or anywhere else that is special to you.

I would love to help you celebrate your little one’s safe arrival.

Fees from £350 (with reasonable additions for travel out of the area and rituals)
